RAPHAËL LESSARD IS HOPING FOR A VICTORY AT THE HICKORY MOTOR SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY

Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce(QC), Wednesday, August 1, 2018 - Strong from two wins this season, Raphaël Lessard is heading to Newton, North Carolina for the Throwback 276in the CARS Response Energy Tour series where he will hope for a third victory.

It's on the Hickory Motor Speedway oval that he will take part in a 138-lap event. The track is 0.363 mile long, with a 14-degree banking in the 1stand 2nd corners, and a 12-degree banking in the 3rd and 4th corners.

Last May, Raphaël was at the Hickory Motor Speedway for a CARS Response Energy Tour event during which he finished 12th after receiving a penalty for a contact with another car.

After six participations in the CARS Response Energy Tour in the Super Late Model class, the #51 FRL Express/Mobil 1/Toyota Camry prepared by Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM)is leading the Driver's Championship, two points ahead of Jared Fryar. Lessard is the series' 2016 champion.

The race will air live at 8:00 p.m. on Cars Tour TV(pay per view). Fans can also follow the race on Race Monitor with live timing. For local fans, the Cage-Brasserie Sportive (cage.ca/saint-georges-de-beauce) and the Resto l'Express at 788, Avenue du Palais in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, will broadcast the race on giant screens starting at 7:00 p.m. We'll see you there!

Raphaël's next race will be on Québec soil at the highly-anticipatedGrand Prix de Trois-Rivières. He will go against the best in the CSCC LMS stock-car series. The race will take place right after the NASCAR Pinty's event on Sunday, August 12.
