Frameco joins Raphael Lessard for Las Vegas NGROTS Race

september 22, 2020

Raphael Lessard Racing and Frameco are proud and excited to announce today the signing of a partnership for the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series (NGROTS) race held on September 25 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Nevada, USA). Raphael Lessard will proudly display on the bedtop of his Toyota Tundra #4 the colours of Frameco, a 40-year-old manufacture and distribution of axles, trailer parts and tanks for electrical transformers.

"At Frameco, we consider that helping promising young people from our area is important. We are certainly very proud of what Raphael Lessard has achieved so far in his career. My sons have also raced stock cars in the ACT, PASS series and in Truck Drag racing. They raced less this year due to the impact of the current health crisis and that opened up the opportunity for us to help Raphael pursue his career. The partnership will add significant exposure for our business, with our current customers as well as with the general public,'' explained Ms. Andrée Cloutier, the enthusiastic president of Frameco.

For Raphael Lessard, the active support of a business based in his region has a special meaning. "I'm very happy to add Frameco to our team effort for the Las Vegas race. It makes me proud to represent them across the NASCAR international audience. I've known the family and their installations since I was a child, as they are based in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, my hometown. I even raced against the owners' sons, Martin Latulippe, and bought my first Super Late Model race car from him. I would like to thank the family for this honour and hope that we will continue this cooperation with them in the years to come," said the driver of the Toyota Tundra #4.

2020 Season: Six Races to Go!

Raphael Lessard had a mixed start to the 2020 season due, among other things, to the current health situation. The rules of the NGROTS series forced the young Beauceron to start from the 11th to the 20th place in races held between May 26 and August 7, all the while demonstrating his natural talent and learning the tracks and driving techniques in a hard competitive environment. Raphael Lessard, without any testing or qualifying on tracks he rarely knew, raced against drivers who had already run on these tracks in previous seasons. Since the twelfth race (on the hybrid oval/road course at Daytona International Speedway), the young driver brought together all the learning from the beginning of his season and recorded four top-10 finishes in five races.

"We had some problems in Richmond and Bristol that cost us good finishes, but I am sure we are capable of winning in the remaining six races this season. We have nothing to lose and I'm going to spare no effort in my preparation and in the races. I also have total confidence in our team, and we will continue to work together to achieve our goal," concluded the 19-year-old.

Next Race:

Raphael Lessard will be back on track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 25 (Nevada, United States). You can follow the event live on RDS, Fox Sports Racing (9 p.m. - EST), FOX Sports 1 (FS1), MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR 90.
