Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce(QC), August 29, 2018 – Raphaël Lessard is heading towards a busy Labor Day weekend as he will take part in two separate stock-car events, one in Canada and one in the USA, this weekend.
Sunday September 2nd:
He will be at the Jukasa Motor Speedway in Ontario, September 1st and 2nd for the Canadian Short Track Nationals, for which 63 cars have already signed-up and who will try to clinch one of the 40 spots available for the race to try and grab the tempting grand prize of 50 000$ which will go to the winner of the race. He will be behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry #20 FRL Express / Petro-Canada Jean-Paul Lessard et Fils of KBR Racing Developmentin the Late Model class.
Monday September 3rd:
Lessard will then head to the United States, to Winchester (Indiana) for the World Stock Car Festival at the Winchester Speedway. However, the #51 FRL Express/Mobil 1/Toyota Camry ofKyle BuschMotorsports(KBM) will miss the practice and qualifying sessions as the driver will be in Canada. He will be back in time for the race but he will have to start from the back of the field.
Last year, Raphaël claimed third position during an action-packed race on this oval track. Consequently, the Winchester Speedway is a track where he knows he is dominant. This track was named “The world fastest half-mile paved track” with an inclination of 37 degrees in the banking, which makes it a high-speed oval.
Both races will be broadcast live on Speed 51(pay per view). You can also follow the live timing on Race Monitor. The Cage Brasserie Sportive (cage.ca/saint-georges-de-beauce) will air the race at Jukasa Motor Speedway and the Resto L’Express will air the race in Indiana. It is recommended that you reserve a table in advance!
